Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit at least one of the following conditions: * "Active Air Dam System Fault See Manual" warning message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) * Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C0604:00 stored in the PCM This may be due to the software level in the powertrain control module (PCM).

Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles may exhibit DTC C0604:00 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) and may have an Active Air Dam System Fault See Manual message displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). To correct this condition, clear and retest for the DTC C0604:00. If DTC C0604:00 returns, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 501-19 Bumpers, Diagnosis and Testing for additional diagnosis.

Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles may exhibit DTC C0604:00 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to firmware within the left and/or right active air dam (AAD) actuator. To correct this condition, perform normal workshop manual diagnostics and if the concern is still present, replace the right and left AAD actuators. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 501-19 Bumpers, Diagnosis and Testing, Active Air Dam (AAD). For claiming, use causal part number 17626 and applicable labor times from Section 10 of the Service Labor Times Standard Manual.
