NOTE: ï‚· A new diagnostic logic has been established to enhance the diagnostic process by storing a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) on Applied Vehicles.  New DTCs: P17F0, P17F1, P17F2, P17F3, P17F4 will not turn the MIL ON.  New DTC P0868 will turn the MIL ON. ï‚· This new diagnostic logic will monitor conditions in the CVT while the customer is operating their vehicle in their usual daily drive patterns. ï‚· If any of the above DTCs are stored, refer to NTB20-035 (Sentra) or NTB20-036 (Versa Sedan and Versa Note) for repair information.…

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have Service Engine Soon on, a ?Service Transmission Now, Unable to Shift Soon? message or possibly the vehicle will not shift out of park at times. Technician will find Diagnostic Trouble Code P07BE or P17F3 in the Chassis Control Module. Technician will need to update the Chassis Control Module with the latest software available in Tis-2-Web. If the vehicle returns or the vehicle was built after the build date shown technician is directed to test for terminal concerns and is advised that an updated shift lever knob is now available.
