Manufacturer summary
Original wording in English
Some customers may comment that the engine cooling fan intermittently stops working. As this condition worsens, it may be found that the Check Engine Lamp (CEL) has turned on, the engine cooling fan stops operating all together and/or a P0480 DTC may be set. If the customer would continue driving with an inoperative cooling fan, the engine can overheat causing severe engine component damage.
NHTSA manufacturer communications ↗Repeated filings are grouped only when make, bulletin number, publication date and complete summary agree. Original record numbers are retained. Older publications remain available, and an explicit later version is shown when established. Pre-1994 vehicle associations are separated from default results; an unspecified year does not mean all model years apply.
