THIS TECHNICAL BULLETIN PROVIDES A PROCEDURE TO CLEAR THE DTC TO CORRECT A CUSTOMER CONCERN THAT THE STOP/START SYSTEM IS INOPERATIVE, “STOP/START SYSTEM DISABLED” MESSAGE APPEARS ON THE DIC, MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP (MIL) BEING ILLUMINATED AND DTC P16DC SET CAUSED BY THE DTC DISABLING THE STOP/START SYSTEM.
