UPON DIAGNOSIS, THE TECHNICIAN MAY FIND A LEAK IN THE ENGINE AIR INTAKE SYSTEM AND/OR ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) STORED IN THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM): P144C-00, P2178, AND/OR P2282. ONCE ANY HARDWARE FAULTS HAVE BEEN RESOLVED, THE SERVICE INSTRUCTION BELOW IS REQUIRED. CAUSE: THIS MAY BE CAUSED BY AN ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (EMS) SOFTWARE ERROR."
