Manufacturer summary
Original wording in English
Some 2017-2018 F-150 vehicles built on or before 29-Sep-2017 may exhibit a no crank/no start, auto-start-stop inoperative, illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) and or powertrain malfunction indicator lamp, transmission shift issues, DTC P061A, U0140, U0401, U0101, U0074 and/or U0037 being set in the PCM, TCM, IPC, FCIM, ABS and/or PSCM. This may be due to the 15525 transmission wire harness not being properly secured. Visually inspect the harness for possible damage and proper routing at the rear of the engine down to the transmission. Repair as necessary. If no damage is found, proceed with normal diagnostics.
NHTSA manufacturer communications ↗Repeated filings are grouped only when make, bulletin number, publication date and complete summary agree. Original record numbers are retained. Older publications remain available, and an explicit later version is shown when established. Pre-1994 vehicle associations are separated from default results; an unspecified year does not mean all model years apply.
