Manufacturer summary
Original wording in English
Some 2021 Mustang Mach-E vehicles may exhibit an erroneous diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U2404:92 stored in the GWM after a Ford Power-Up software update was delivered over-the-air (OTA) or the GWM software was updated using the Ford Diagnosis And Repair System (FDRS). This may be due to various software parameters within the GWM. If this DTC is identified during normal diagnostics, but the vehicle does not exhibit any customer concerns around the GWM operation, this DTC should be disregarded. This DTC does not cause any observable concerns or warning messages and does not affect vehicle performance or durability. Ford is developing a software update which will be delivered to the vehicle via a Ford Power-Up GWM update in March 2022 to prevent this DTC from setting erroneously.
NHTSA manufacturer communications ↗Repeated filings are grouped only when make, bulletin number, publication date and complete summary agree. Original record numbers are retained. Older publications remain available, and an explicit later version is shown when established. Pre-1994 vehicle associations are separated from default results; an unspecified year does not mean all model years apply.
