Original wording in English

AUTOMATIC BACK DOOR INOPERATIVE SERVICE INFORMATION If you confirm the automatic (power) back door is inoperative (e.g., the door will not open, close, latch, etc.): ï‚· Refer to ASIST and the ESM for diagnostic information. ï‚· If further troubleshooting per the ESM is needed, note that the Automatic Back Door Control Unit only needs to be recalibrated per the Work Procedure in CONSULT if the following work is performed: o Removing and installing, or replacing the Automatic Back Door Control Unit o Removing and installing, or replacing the Automatic Back Door Spindle Unit o Removing and installing, or replacing the Back Door Assembly NOTE: Attempting to recalibrate the Automatic Back Door Control Unit while troubleshooting other components in the Power Back Door (PBD) system such as the hatch latch, electrical wiring harnesses, control buttons or touch sensors, can cause the recalibration to fail, which erroneously generates DTC B2428-54 (AUTOMATIC BACK DOOR CONTROL UNIT) and leads to unnecessary replacement of the Automatic Back Door Control Unit.

Repeated filings are grouped only when make, bulletin number, publication date and complete summary agree. Original record numbers are retained. Older publications remain available, and an explicit later version is shown when established. Pre-1994 vehicle associations are separated from default results; an unspecified year does not mean all model years apply.
