Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty/F-650/F-750 vehicles may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P24D1 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). To correct the condition, replace the particulate matter (PM) sensor. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-14. For F-650/F-750 vehicles, use LC4Z-5L216-A. For F-Super Duty pickup and 203 inch wheelbase chassis cab vehicles, use LC3Z-5L216-C. For F-Super Duty 145/179/192 inch wheelbase chassis cab vehicles, use LC3Z-5L216-B. For F-Super Duty 168/169/193/205 inch wheelbase chassis cab vehicles, use LC3Z-5L216-A. Do not attempt a programmable module installation (PMI) after installation of the PM sensor. For claiming, use causal part 5L239 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
NHTSA manufacturer communications ↗Repeated filings are grouped only when make, bulletin number, publication date and complete summary agree. Original record numbers are retained. Older publications remain available, and an explicit later version is shown when established. Pre-1994 vehicle associations are separated from default results; an unspecified year does not mean all model years apply.
