Some 2023-2024 Escape vehicles built on or before 10-Jun-2024 and equipped with 1.5L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0496 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM.
