Discussion: If a vehicle has a complaint of will not shift from park and the below DTCs are set, follow the steps below prior to making any repairs. U0121-00-LOST COMMUNICATION WITH ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) U1110-LOST VEHICLE SPEED MESSAGE U120C-LOST BRAKE BOOSTER SIGNAL Do not replace the ABS module. First, discuss the circumstances of how they park the vehicle. Ask if they manually apply the electric park brake (EPB) after placing the shifter in park and turning off the ignition. These steps could also be followed with a final step of opening the door, changing ignition status, pressing the brake or pressing the EPB switch again. If the owner answers “yes” to the sequence mentioned prior, engineering is aware of concerns and investigating.
