Original wording in English
Complaint When disconnecting or connecting the charging connector, the charging socket flashes red and red warning messages are displayed in the instrument cluster. Immediately after that, neither driving nor charging is possible. Cause P292900: Contact 'Negative terminal' of contactor B in the high‐voltage battery is jammed closed If the charging cable connector is removed approximately 5 to 7 seconds after the charging process has ended, a fault is triggered. Remedy If this fault occurs, please follow these steps: 1) Wait for bus idle ‐> driving should be possible again. Note: Charging is still not possible. The fault will keep recurring as long as the fault is stored in the fault memory. 2) Plug in charging cable and check if fault (P292900 or P0AE173) is active. Clear active fault. Charging should be possible after the fault has been cleared. To prevent the fault from recurring, after the charging process has ended, wait at least 15 seconds before disconnecting the AC charging cable connector. Please create a TIPS case including quick test and HV control module log.
NHTSA manufacturer communications ↗Repeated filings are grouped only when make, bulletin number, publication date and complete summary agree. Original record numbers are retained. Older publications remain available, and an explicit later version is shown when established. Pre-1994 vehicle associations are separated from default results; an unspecified year does not mean all model years apply.
