Complaint: Red 12 V battery warning message in IC DTC stored in EZS or currently: B161609 No DTC in DC/DC converter DC/DC converter is not providing any output voltage or output current Cause: Due to a reduction in resistance at the HV voltage divider, the DC/DC converter measures an incorrect HV voltage. Regulation of the 12 V output voltage is therefore unstable or turns off. Remedy: Check of the DC/DC converter via XENTRY Diagnosis Actuate BUCK mode for approx. 40 s Normally, the output current will jump up to a high value (e.g. 100 A) and then slowly drop to the current specified value (e.g. 50 A) and then only change slowly and in small increments (video in attachment). In the event of this error cause, the DC/DC converter may react in two possible ways: 1) Despite displayed BUCK…

Certain 2023 Model Year Mustang Mach-E Vehicles 12 Volt (12V) Battery Test and Remote Climate Control Module (RCCM) Reset On the affected vehicles, the Remote Climate Control Module (RCCM) may stay awake after the vehicle is turned off, creating a Key Off Load (KOL). This may cause DTC B1616-04 to set, and a message “Electrical System Drain Service Required” to appear on the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) and may also lead to a discharge of the 12V battery if the vehicle is parked for approximately 10-15 days

Complaint On affected hybrid vehicles of model series 223, a sporadic or continuously displayed red 12V warning message is shown in the instrument cluster. Cause Based on the current status of the analyses, 2 different causes may be considered probable: ·Failure of the current limiter module: The fault does not necessarily trigger a fault code. This fault profile is likely in the event of continuous 12V red messages. ·A second cause of the fault is indicated by the saved fault codes P0E32FA in the HV DC/DC converter (N82/2; see XENTRY Diagnosis for fault code) and, in some cases, B161609 in the electronic ignition switch (N73). This fault profile is likely in the event of sporadic 12V red messages. Remedy For cause analysis, the quick test for the vehicle should be examined for the…
