If Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics lead to turbocharger variable vane actuator replacement, service part LC3Z-9G488-B has been released for service. Replacement of the turbocharger assembly is no longer required. When performing the VGT (Variable Geometry Turbo) Valve reset, make sure that engine coolant temperature (ECT) is at least 158° F (70° C).

Turbocharger Replacement This bulletin involves replacing the turbocharger and repositioning the control solenoid valve air intake filter. The customer may describe a drop in vehicle performance and/or a malfunction indicator light (MIL) illuminated. The following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) will also be stored or active: · P2564 - 00 - Variable Geometry Turbocharger Position Sensor Deviation Signal Amplitude Less Than Minimum. · P2565 - 00 - Variable Geometry Turbocharger Position Sensor Deviation Signal Amplitude Greater Than Maximum.
