New Continental GT / GTC - Exhaust Flap - Diagnostic Trouble Code. Customer statement / workshop findings Warning lamp illuminated on Driver Instrument Panel (DIP) Drive system fault. Contact your Bentley dealer displayed on DIP One or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) stored within Engine Control Modules (ECMs) 1 or 2: P04A000: Exhaust Pressure Control Valve B P04A000 / P047500: Exhaust Pressure Control Valve A P14AB00: Exhaust door control unit mechanical malfunction P049F00: Exhaust Pressure Control Valve B Technical background The root cause of Exhaust Flap Control Unit malfunction is electrical shorting of the commutator segments, this is caused by an accumulation of Sludge within the Control Unit. A DTC is stored when the respective Control Unit does not move through its full range of motion.
