Some 2025-2026 F-150 vehicles built on 01-Oct-2025 and through 15-Dec-2025 may exhibit a "Check 4x4" message with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U2002:9E stored in the all terrain control module (ATCM). This may be due to the 4L switch being stuck on due to excess material on the lower center instrument panel trim panel keeping the switch depressed. To correct the condition, replace the lower center instrument panel trim panel. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 412-00 > Removal and Installation > Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Control Module for reference of all hidden fasteners. For claiming, use causal part 15042C74 and labor operation MT15042C74SSM up to 1.3 hours.

Some 2022-2023 F-150 vehicles equipped with four-wheel drive (4WD), without a center console, and built on 17-Nov-2022 and through 28-Nov-2022 may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U2002 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to an issue with the lower centerstack trim panel where the all terrain control panel (ATCM) mounts. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to replace the lower centerstack trim panel.

Four wheel drive (4WD) vehicles may also exhibit an anti-lock brake system (ABS) lamp illuminated with DTCs C003A or C0037. Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

INSPECT THE HARNESSES FOR DAMAGE WHERE THEY ARE ROUTED CLOSEST TO THE REAR WHEELS. IF DAMAGED, REPAIR AS REQUIRED AND TIE STRAP BOTH HARNESSES TO GAIN SUFFICIENT CLEARANCE AWAY FROM BOTH REAR WHEELS. APPLICABLE LABOR OPERATIONS IN SECTION 10 OF THE SERVICE LABOR TIME STANDARDS (SLTS) MANUAL.
