Some 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles may set diagnostic trouble codes (DTCS) U3035 and/or U3036 in the powertrain control module (PCM) during a diagnostic self-test. These DTCS set when the PCM detects an authentication failure after key initialization (U3035) and/or while the PCM continues to monitor DTC (U3036) during the transition of the controller area network (CAN) bus entering sleep mode. U3035 and/or U3036 should be ignored if: no other DTCs are present in the PCM, the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) is not illuminated while the engine is running, and no drivability concerns are present. No further service action is required.
