If this occurs, the driver will not be able to shift out of manual mode until the vehicle. is turned off and back on again. The vehicle will also set diagnostic trouble codes P0816 and P1876. Dealers are to remove and replace the shifter assembly. The repairs will be made at no charge to the customer
