Mazda Factory OBD-II DTC P2459 Code Diagnostic Procedure

Mazda P2459 Diesel particulate filter regeneration frequency
DETECTION CONDITION
•  The PCM monitors the diesel particulate filter regeneration frequency using the exhaust differential pressure sensor. If the diesel particulate filter regeneration interval is shorter than threshold, the PCM determines that the diesel particulate filter regeneration frequency is too short.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  Fuel injection system malfunction
•  Diesel particulate filter malfunction
•  Exhaust gas leakage in exhaust system before diesel particulate filter
•  Improper connection at exhaust differential pressure sensor upstream side pipe
•  Low engine compression
•  Scheduled maintenance does not have followed
•  PCM malfunction
