P0217 Acura Engine Overheat Condition

If the P0217 Acura code is present and there are no coolant leaks, start by servicing the coolant system and replacing the thermostat to resolve the problem.

Engine coolant temperature is excessively high under normal engine speed.

P0217 Acura Description

The Engine Control Module (ECM) monitors the engine coolant temperature with the engine running. The P0217 Acura code is set when the temperature is higher than normal even and there is no heavy load to the engine.
