– Engine Control Module (ECM) Programming error
– Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) not programmed to ECM
– Faulty or wrong ECM
Tech description
If a new ECM is installed in a vehicle, the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) has to be reprogrammed to the new Engine Control Module (ECM).
What about the obd code?
DTC P0630 Cadillac is set when the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is not stored in the Engine Control Module (ECM) or the input VIN is not accurate.
