P1385 Chevrolet Variable Cam Timing Solenoid B Malfunction

Possible causes

Open or short in the VCT circuit.

Open VPWR circuit.

Damaged PCM.

Open or short in the VCT solenoid valve.

Symptoms

– Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)

P1385 Chevrolet Description

The comprehensive component monitor (CCM) monitors the VCT circuit to the PCM for high and low voltage. If the voltage falls below a calibrated limit a calibrated amount of time during testing, the test fails.
