Complaint • Insufficient heating output in vehicle interior • Customer describes a one-off, loud "plopping" noise during the journey Workshop findings: • Refrigerant line between refrigerant compressor and condenser is cracked • If listed line is cracked, please conduct the following tests 1. Are the fault codes B19A200 or P053400 current or stored in air conditioner control unit N10*1? 2. Check dryer cartridge at condenser for particles: Remove dryer cartridge, illuminate inlet of dryer cartridge using flashlight (A), and examine filter screen through outlet of dryer cartridge (B) -> see comparison picture bad/good Further possible signs for this fault profile are: • Refrigerant level clearly too low (target: 670 g): In this case, please first of all check where a leak is present in the…

Some 2024 F-150 vehicles may set diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0534:00 in the powertrain control module (PCM) when a diagnostic self-test is performed. This may be due to the PCM responding to large changes in ambient temperatures from warm to below freezing when the vehicle has less than 62 miles (100 km) and still in a rapid learn mode for the ambient air temperature logic. The rapid update to the temperature can result in the vehicle setting this DTC. DTC P0534:00 does not affect vehicle drivability and has no effect on vehicle operation. No additional diagnostics or service is required for this condition at this time. DTC P0534:00 is a background diagnostic code for service only and does not illuminate the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL), powertrain malfunction indicator (wrench),…

Some 2024 Mustang vehicles may exhibit an inoperative air conditioning (a/c) system. Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) B3A1B and/or P0534 may be set within the powertrain control module (PCM). This condition is currently under investigation by engineering. For vehicles that meet this criteria, submit a Report a Vehicle Concern (if no help is needed) or a submit a Technical Support Request (if help is needed). In the report, include as much information as possible about the vehicle symptom including high and low side a/c system pressures, a/c pressure transducer PID readings, the amount of refrigerant that was recovered from the vehicle (only if refrigerant recovery was required), and anything else found during the diagnosis that would be helpful to the investigation. Attach screen shots,…
