Requesting technician to replace both the rearview camera and license lamp applique assemblies. Please contact FCA Redacted Content to set up part return to QEC. On some vehicles. the center display may turn black and/or DTC U0264:00 may be stored in memory when the rear view monitoring system is on after replacing the rear mount camera. This symptom occurs due to a communication error between the new rear mount camera and a specific old CMU software version. When replacing the rear mount camera with a new one, follow the Repair Procedure below to prevent this concern from occurring. DTC U0264:00: Communication error with rear mount camera NOTE: For vehicles with a rear view monitor system with predicted vehicle path assist lines, this TSB is not applicable.

Some 2015-2017 Transit vehicles may fail to program the BCM following replacement. To repair, follow BCM installation procedures in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 419-10 using Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) or Ford J2534 Diagnostic Software (FJDS) release 108.06 or higher. Make sure you are connected to the internet when entering module programming to obtain the latest updates. Calibration files may also be obtained at www.motorcraftservice.com. Disregard DTC U0264 in the BCM and DTC U0010 in the Image Processing Module B (IPMB) if no observable rear parking aid camera concerns are present. For claiming this programming procedure, use causal part 15604 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
