20MY Conventional trucks equipped with a bubbler filter 23304-EV460 may set Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) P20DE and/or P0005 under some conditions. If a truck comes into your location exhibiting these DTC's and is equipped with the 23304-EV460 bubbler filter, replace the filter with 23304-EV023 and retest.

A sticking fuel cut valve may result in the following DTC?s (diagnostic trouble codes) setting: 1. If DTC P0005 (fuel cut valve stuck closed) sets in the engine ECU, replace the fuel cut valve with the part number listed below. 2. If DTC P20DE (pressure sensor performance invalid) or DTC P20DF (pressure sensor signal too low) set in the engine ECU, this could be a result of the fuel cut valve sticking. Follow the workshop manual diagnostic procedure in section 4 of the Hino Workshop Manual (J05E Engine Control System) for the DTC.
