SOME 2017 F-SUPER DUTY, E-SERIES, F53 MOTORHOME, F59 CHASSIS, F-650/750 VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A 6.8L ENGINE WITH AN ENGINE BUILT ON 10-SEP-2016 AND THROUGH 15-FEB-2017 MAY EXHIBIT MULTIPLE MISFIRE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0305, P0306, P0306, P0307, P0308, P0309, P0309 AND/OR P0310. THIS MAY BE DUE TO AN UNDER TORQUED CRANKSHAFT PULLEY BOLT. BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY DIAGNOSIS OR REPAIRS, SUSPECT UNDER TORQUED CRANKSHAFT PULLEY BOLT AS THE ISSUE.

6.8L - MIL ILLUMINATED WITH VARIOUS DTCS - NO DRIVEABILITY SYMPTOMS - BUILT ON OR BEFORE 2/25/2016 ISSUE Some 2016 F-Super Duty 650/750 vehicles built on or before 2/25/2016 and equipped with a 6.8L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304,P0305, P0306, P0307, P0308, P0309 and/or P0310 present in the powertrain control module (PCM) memory with no other drivability symptom. SERVICE PROCEDURE 1. Using Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) or equivalent scan tool, retrieve DTCs from the PCM. MIL on. DTCs for random cylinder misfires (DTC P0300 - DTC P0310) are stored in the engine control modules (ECM), J623 (address word 01) and J624 (address word 11). This condition will not cause stalling or drivability concerns. Certain driving conditions can cause the ECM to adapt idle quality incorrectly. This TSB replaces TSB 2033647: 24 ECM adaptation for 2014 R8 V10 and V10 Plus with S-Tronic only. ECM adaption is no longer required for R8 V10 and R8 V10 plus vehicles with both manual and S-Tronic transmissions.
